Diabetes’ Psychiatric and Psychosocial Aspects: A review

An interaction takes place between diabetes and psychological problems. Psychological problems can occur due to the perception of chronic diseases, effects on residential areas and complications during the disease period. Blood sugar levels can alter moods, and psychological problems and stress can be a risk factor in the development and process of diabetes. Diabetes patients are frequently monitored for diabetes and possible complications, but their psychological states are not monitored adequately. This article aimed to emphasize the relationship between diabetes and psychological problems, and the significance of psychological actions in diabetes management.
